A clear blue-green turquoise, mid-depth teal with deeper blue pooling beneath the surface. Tan and cream host rock gathers in a broad island across the upper half, a pale chalky spot at its center, then breaks into loose flecks toward the lower edges. The polish is bright and glassy over a high dome, cut to a pear with a softly rounded point. The back is black, flat and saw-marked, with a small rough pit near the base.
Emerald Valley turquoise, from southwestern Nevada, comes from a small, active mine in the same region as the Royston mines. Its stone runs from classic Nevada green to deep forest green; this one sits at the bluer end of that range.
Standard-High grade, stabilized and backed, ready for a silversmith to set. The high dome and clean pear outline would carry a pendant well, or a bold ring.
