Hubei Turquoise — Tight Black Spiderweb

Bright sky-blue turquoise, clear and even in tone, broken into small rounded nuggets by pale grey and tan matrix. Fine dark webbing threads through the center, and a black inclusion sits at the lower right edge. The polish is high and the dome is low on a clean oval. The back is flat, saw-marked and left unpolished: blue, with an olive-green wash across the top and a patch of tan matrix.

Hubei turquoise, from Hubei Province in central China.

Standard-High grade, stabilized and unbacked, ready for a silversmith to set.

Its size and low profile suit a ring or a small pendant.
