Persian turquoise, from Nishapur in northeastern Iran. Nishapur has been worked for more than two thousand years and is still mined today. Its turquoise has long been prized for its color and quality.
Exceptional, natural and unbacked, cut from old-stock Nishapur rough that was recently found in storage and newly cabbed (Rudy Ridge). Ready for a silversmith to set.
Its size and full dome would sit well in a ring or a small pendant.
